Ensemble
The Erie Jr. Philharmonic offers weekly rehearsals, sectional coaching, and advanced chamber ensembles for members of the string, brass, woodwind, and percussion sections of the orchestra. Performance oppotunities include annual winter and spring concerts, a tour of schools, ensemble performances, an annual concerto competition, and a performance with the Erie Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Prelude and Intermezzo String Ensembles are designed for the novice string player. Young students who have been studying their particular instruments for a year or more are encouraged to audition. Students rehearse weekly and will enjoy playing with the Jr. Philharmonic Orchestra at the Spring Concert and Ensemble Concerts in the winter and spring.
