RESULTS HERE
This unique race begins with Erie Philharmonic Conductor Daniel Meyer’s downbeat of the baton and follows a scenic downtown course lined with radios so racers can hear Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony along the way. Runners who cross the finish line before the final beat of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony (approximately 30 minutes, 17 seconds) win a free Erie Philharmonic concert ticket. THE COURSE
The 5K USATF-certified course will begin and end at the Warner Theatre, 811 State Street in downtown Erie, Pa. Runners will proceed north on State Street, west along 5th Street, one block south on Sassafras, west along scenic 6th Street, south on Cascade and east along the tree-lined boulevard of 10th Street. Ample on-street, lot and ramp parking is available in the vicinity of the Warner Theatre.

PACKET PICK-UP
Race packets can be picked up on September 7, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Erie Philharmonic office, 609 Walnut Street. On race day, packet pick-up for
pre-registered participants will begin at 7:45 a.m.
Postmark deadline to pre-register is Saturday, August 31.
All participants will receive a water bottle.
Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in each category.
VOLUNTEERS
Not interested in racing but want to support our efforts? Volunteers are needed to line the course with boom boxes or car/truck radios so our racers can hear Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony along the entire course. Jet 1400 AM Radio will broadcast the symphony starting at 9 a.m. Please call 814-455-1375 ext. 17 to be assigned a spot along the race course.
